Here ya go, Mama...

Our computer crashed and then we reset it. It crashed again and we reset it again. We are still living out of boxes and we finally found the cable for the camera so we have new pictures to post! Norah is doing so well, growing and learning. She is funny and pretty wild! She is sitting up by herself and working on crawling, though right now it's more of an army crawl. Her primary mode of moving is rolling from her belly to her back until she reaches what she wants. Gram calls her a "rolly polly". She has the sweetest laugh and she loves dogs! Last week we started giving her Muesli (oat cereal) with bits of apples once a day, and I must say that she's enjoying her new food! She weighs around 16 pounds and is about 25 inches long. Norah is an excellent sleeper, too! She goes to bed around 7:30-8 and sleeps between 8-12 hours every night! She is also a thumb sucker, so cute and so nice because she can pacify herself. Woo. Ok, maybe next time I won't have to update so much. If you're still reading, enjoy some photos of the past few weeks.

Oh yeah, Norah turned 6 months on March 12!!! Half a year old, wow!

Happy Birthday Rory!

Ash Wednesday

The season of Lent begins today with Ash Wednesday. For those who are not familiar, Lent is a 40 (46 counting Sundays) day period before Easter. The 40 days represent the time Jesus spent in the desert where he fasted and prayed. This is a time for Christians to fast and pray, to reflect on the person of Christ and our relationship with Him. Lent is not just for Catholics, Methodists and Lutherans; it is open for any Christian who wishes to be searched and cleaned. Glory to God in the highest and peace to His people on earth.

So Sorry

For those of you who read this blog, I apologize for not posting regularly. For a quick update: we are in Montana, Norah is sitting up and we have all had a stomach virus. Rory has been working like crazy, which is wonderful! He's currently up by the Canadian border working for a few days. It's so much harder having him away than I thought. Norah cried hysterically tonight before bed and I swear it was because she missed her daddy. As soon and I get caught up on laundry, take a shower and get to feeling better I will post pictures and a much more in depth update. Goodnight.

Packing

This will probably be our last post for a little while because we are packing up and moving out! We'll post again once we get settled in Montana.

Love and blessings to all,

Rewind

For our family and friends who live far away and like us to keep them up to date: In our last post we told you all that Norah was starting to eat solids (bananas) and we would like to inform you that the banana eating has stopped. We did not give her any bananas for 3 days and we watched her to see how she would react. She had no clue. She's just content with her milk and milk she shall have! Probably a pointless post but hey, some of you might appreciate the info.

I suppose I could also tell you all that Norah had a doctor's appointment today and she weighs a whopping 14 pounds and totals 24" in length. She is growing so fast!

I suppose I could also tell you that the move is still a go but the packing is taking a long time and it's no fun. Also, we ate some really nasty clam chowder tonight (Campbell's Healthy Choice or something like that) and I do not recommend it to anyone. Well, until next time...love and blessings to all who read this pointless post.

A lot going on

As most of you know, for the past year we've been living and working in Spokane, Washington. We were so sad to leave Kalispell, Montana last March and we've missed our church, friends and family there terribly. Thankfully though, we are moving back and needless to say, we are ecstatic!! We will be leaving Spokane on January 30th so that gives us....2 weeks to pack!

In other news, Eleanor is growing like crazy! She is a little over 4 months old and can now fit into some of her 6 month clothing. She is sitting up and rolling over so well. She has been showing quite an interest in food so we decided to let her try some. The outcome: she HATES rice cereal, and we mean she really hates it; however, she LOVES BANANAS! She has such a sweet personality and she keeps us laughing constantly.

Here are more photos of recent:

Look who's sitting up (kind of)!

So, when we got up this morning I thought, "Norah should start practicing sitting up." And so, I propped her up against the Boppy and vwaaalaaa! She's a natural. Take a look:

Ultimate Update

Well, well, well, where to begin? To all of you who follow our blog (or used to) we apologize for the extended silence. So much has happened in the past few months and we are excited to share! For starters, we got a new computer so we will be posting regularly again! Secondly, Norah has grown and changed so much. In the past few months, she celebrated her first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, got a new cousin, learned to coo and laugh, and traveled to Georgia to meet Katie's family. She's quite the busy body. We are so proud of her and we can not believe she is almost 4 months old!

Here's what you've missed:
